Police and Crime Commissioner election

for the Lincolnshire Police Area

1. An Election is to be held for a Police and Crime Commissioner for the Lincolnshire

Police Area.

2. Nomination papers can be obtained from the office of the Police Area Returning Officer

at City Hall, Beaumont Fee, Lincoln, LN1 1DD, during the times stated below.

3. Nomination papers must be delivered in person by appointment only to the Police Area

Returning Officer at City Hall, Beaumont Fee, Lincoln, LN1 1DD between the hours of

10am and 4pm on any working day (excluding bank holidays) after publication of this

notice but not later than 4pm on Friday 5th April 2024. Appointments can be arranged

by email: electoral@lincoln.gov.uk or by telephone (01522) 873733.

4. If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 2nd May 2024.

5. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at East

Lindsey District Council, The Hub, Mareham Road, Horncastle, LN9 6PH by midnight

on Tuesday 16th April 2024. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/register-tovote.

6. During the nomination period, as set out above, the sum of £5,000 must be deposited

with the Police Area Returning Officer by 4pm on Friday 5th April 2024. This sum may

be in the form of cash, Banker’s Draft (made payable to the City of Lincoln Council

Receipts Account) or in the form of an online BACS payment and must be delivered to

the Police Area Returning Officer at City Hall, Beaumont Fee, Lincoln, LN1 1DD.

Funds must be cleared before the nomination is considered valid.

7. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral

Registration Officer at East Lindsey District Council, The Hub, Mareham Road,

Horncastle, LN9 6PH by 5pm on Wednesday 17th April 2024. Applications can be

made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote .

8. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document

valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at East Lindsey

District Council, The Hub, Mareham Road, Horncastle, LN9 6PH by 5pm on

Wednesday 24th April 2024. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate can be made

online: www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate.

9. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration

Officer at East Lindsey District Council, The Hub, Mareham Road, Horncastle, LN9

6PH by 5pm on Wednesday 24th April 2024. Some applications can be made online:

https://www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote .

10. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral

Registration Officer at East Lindsey District Council, The Hub, Mareham Road,

Horncastle, LN9 6PH by 5pm on Thursday 2nd May 2024.
